Joined a while back, but had not taken time to comment. Any jewelry companies out there? How are you dealing with the changes?

I just wanted to let you all know. We called EMSL this morning to get information concerning having our things tested for lead. They told us they were not certified by CPSC(Cpsia) yet.

Thanks for posting that. As I commented just now, that's exactly the same form letter I received from her in reply to my letter of last month. So far she's the only legislator who has even bothered to reply to my correspondence. I followed up with a phone call but I'm not sure how much more helpful that will be.

Oh, wait it was Feinstein's office. I put the reply on my blog.

I got a standard reply form email from Boxer, all about phatlates and plastics--not even what I wrote her about. I will call on Monday and speak to an actual human. Ridiculous!

Thanks for the fax info. Alas, the letters and emails I've written have received no reply. Since it's nearly impossible to get phone time (I'm a SAHM with a 2 yr old and an almost 4 yr old) it's time to try faxing instead!

Thanks. Since e-mails only get boilerplate responses and I think no one sees/reads them, I thought faxes might work better.

I sent emails to all the commissioners on the CPSA this morning, asking them to continue the stay. Nancy Nord answered almost immediately, stating that she agrees the stay needs to be continued.

Help Support the new CPSIA Documentary!

A CPSIA documentary is in the works. Since the mainstream media seems to think this is not worthy of their precious air time, this is another great way to get the word out and put our leaders on the "hot seat" to explain themselves. We know that the impact of this travesty is widespread. Now we just need to collect our pennies together and help support the documentary. We have over 700 members here. Imagine if everyone gave just $20....(that would be $14,000 and good chunk of the cost). Here is a quick way to make a donation.

This is a donation to support the making of a CPSIA documentary (see link for details). CPSIA-Central is not affiliated with this organization, and is offering this space for the paypal button in support of the documentary.
