Yes, you are very right, it is about the toys. We make toys in our garage and home and there are only 2 of us. I also was a bit disappointed with the major part of the Rally focusing on ATV's and bicycles. Usually, they are large enough companies so…

I also am interested in exemptions for these paints. Any paints in the USA that one can purchase off the shelf have been required to be lead free since 1972. Even our glue and sharpie markers carry the same AP -ASTM D 4236 seal. A grandfather or gra…

Hi Rob, We did finally get some hopeful results from our Representative. Dennis called the local office of Representative Thompson and spoke in a firm manner with one of the ladies there. She said to send an email to her. We did that and we got a la…

I have a labeling problem then I guess. We do stand up puzzles so we don't have anything with a back. Some of the "feet" are not that large. Also like many other crafters, we don't do batches per say. We might do 6 puzzles of the same shape but diff…

Hi Rob, this is Lee of Puzzles N Things in Ca. I just called EMSL this morning to see about getting a quote for testing our toys that we paint. We were told they aren't certified for testing for CPSIA for lead yet. That it would probably be 1 to 2 m…

I just wanted to let you all know. We called EMSL this morning to get information concerning having our things tested for lead. They told us they were not certified by CPSC(Cpsia) yet.

We sell wooden toys and items. We use spray paints. It states on the spray cans that they are unleaded-safe for children's toys, furniture, etc. I called CPSC on monday inquiring about that. It doesn't matter. They don't care. We still need to test…

Of course we are all working for the same thing. I just was wondering why you posted a comment specifically on my wall as opposed to a group or the general population. As I said, I'm new to this networking stuff.

Not sure why this was posted on my wall unless it is something that went to lots of "walls". I'm new to these networking sites, so just wondering.

Hi, I've emailed Boxer, Feinstein, and Thompson. Called Rep Thompsons office in Napa also. Didn't help. Called CSPIA this morning. They don't care if the paint you use says ";unleaded-safe for childrens toys, furniture, etc. They don't want any MSDS papers either. Tried calling Boxer today. Unable to get through in Washington DC and left a message in San Francisco. Send a letter to our local newspaper. They have bloggers here that just like to call people names if they have any problem with anything.

I sent emails to all the commissioners on the CPSA this morning, asking them to continue the stay. Nancy Nord answered almost immediately, stating that she agrees the stay needs to be continued.

Help Support the new CPSIA Documentary!

A CPSIA documentary is in the works. Since the mainstream media seems to think this is not worthy of their precious air time, this is another great way to get the word out and put our leaders on the "hot seat" to explain themselves. We know that the impact of this travesty is widespread. Now we just need to collect our pennies together and help support the documentary. We have over 700 members here. Imagine if everyone gave just $20....(that would be $14,000 and good chunk of the cost). Here is a quick way to make a donation.

This is a donation to support the making of a CPSIA documentary (see link for details). CPSIA-Central is not affiliated with this organization, and is offering this space for the paypal button in support of the documentary.
