Bethany, I think the clarification excluded all the items you are use. Need to find the last thing that they CPSC stated about books and other items that would not need the testing - I'm pretty sure yarn was excluded since it obviously can't have le…

Katie, that was in the clarification of books being printed - anything prior to 1985 has to be pulled or destroyed or something - they can no longer be marketed for children is all I know - because apparently there are too many high levels of lead p…

I think since Vivian started this group that she would be the best person to send all the info to Rob; because there are so many websites that have been promoting CPSIA or not promoting it but trying to get it repealed and there are some really good…

Amen - I posted on my blog about what Publishers Weekly posted today. The chairs of the committee and subcommittee that overseas the CPSC wants Obama to ask Acting Chair Nancy Nord to resign - blaming the confusion and chaos on her when she is the o…

Here is Publishers Weekly statement as of 01/29/2009 and the way this is reading (or at best the way I read it) is that books are not included in the stay at the moment due to the fact that the CPSC has asked for more information and testing. A stat…

Fingers crossed they lawmakers will see the total assinine way of this law and their errors too - by including everything that is for children. I hope this does include books but I don't see how they can't not include books when it was already prove…

And it doesn't include books. This is a sad thing - the one product that is the least likely to have any lead contaminant and all its components are less than 10 ppm or negligible and every part used in the imprinting of books has been proven to hav…

I sent emails to all the commissioners on the CPSA this morning, asking them to continue the stay. Nancy Nord answered almost immediately, stating that she agrees the stay needs to be continued.

Help Support the new CPSIA Documentary!

A CPSIA documentary is in the works. Since the mainstream media seems to think this is not worthy of their precious air time, this is another great way to get the word out and put our leaders on the "hot seat" to explain themselves. We know that the impact of this travesty is widespread. Now we just need to collect our pennies together and help support the documentary. We have over 700 members here. Imagine if everyone gave just $20....(that would be $14,000 and good chunk of the cost). Here is a quick way to make a donation.

This is a donation to support the making of a CPSIA documentary (see link for details). CPSIA-Central is not affiliated with this organization, and is offering this space for the paypal button in support of the documentary.
