Colorado companies to hold a press conference on National Bankruptcy Day

Press Release

Dear Colorado Manufacturers,
As you know, National Bankruptcy Day is this Tuesday 2/10 (as deemed by industry experts due CPSIA). While the CPSC has issued a 1-year "stay", this simply means that manufacturers of products for children 12 and under are not required to test their products for lead. But we are still required to only sell items that meet those limits.

We are holding a local press conference this Tuesday at 10AM for loca… Continue

Touchdown! We scored, but it's not half time yet...

Finally some good news for all of us consumed by the CPSIA. It's a good thing because my pom poms were getting a little tired.

The CPSC has issued a "stay of enforcement of testing and certification requirements" on the CPSIA. Please note that we still have obligations...

Quoted from today's CPSC press release...

"The stay of enforcement provides some temporary, limited relief to the crafters, children’s garment manufacturer… Continue

“Take your thumbs out of your mouths, grow up, and accept that the country needed to stop children from dying or being made sick from toxic toys”

Today, I am angry (Go, fight, fight!!)

There was a post on www.PopTort.com on 1/23 that completely got it all wrong… Here are my favorite parts, but I urge you to read the whole thing.

It states "Business groups have always hated this law. But now, they are in full hyperbolic rage because of the difficulty some small business are having complying right away...… Continue

Do they test for all the necessary tests? Is it lead and pthalates we need to test for?
Can you give me their email so I can contact when I am ready? I won't be able to do it for a couple of months. I just started another part time job.
Thanks so much!

Hi Olivia! :) Looks like you had a lead testing party. Cool! Not sure what I will do about this testing yet. My biz really can't afford it.

Hi Olivia - Great to hear from you - glad you joined. I am hopeful and pray that the sensibility of those who can make the changes we need is not blured by their sense of pride. (lol)

Help Support the new CPSIA Documentary!

A CPSIA documentary is in the works. Since the mainstream media seems to think this is not worthy of their precious air time, this is another great way to get the word out and put our leaders on the "hot seat" to explain themselves. We know that the impact of this travesty is widespread. Now we just need to collect our pennies together and help support the documentary. We have over 700 members here. Imagine if everyone gave just $20....(that would be $14,000 and good chunk of the cost). Here is a quick way to make a donation.

This is a donation to support the making of a CPSIA documentary (see link for details). CPSIA-Central is not affiliated with this organization, and is offering this space for the paypal button in support of the documentary.
