It isn't final yet; still needs to be voted on. They are accepting comments on the proposal too. I will haven't read all in great enough detail to confirm exactly what it all means, but I am sure more commentary will be forthcoming, if not here, then by Rick Woldenberg & the Handmade Toy Alliance.

Is this a proposed guidance that still needs to be voted on? Am I reading it correctly? It appears they will allow component testing if voted on and as long as items are made under 10,000 units, they will not need to be certified, but still must use tested produtcs? Not that I'm being lazy, just 31 new pages of what may be required is almost more confusing.

Help Support the new CPSIA Documentary!

A CPSIA documentary is in the works. Since the mainstream media seems to think this is not worthy of their precious air time, this is another great way to get the word out and put our leaders on the "hot seat" to explain themselves. We know that the impact of this travesty is widespread. Now we just need to collect our pennies together and help support the documentary. We have over 700 members here. Imagine if everyone gave just $20....(that would be $14,000 and good chunk of the cost). Here is a quick way to make a donation.

This is a donation to support the making of a CPSIA documentary (see link for details). CPSIA-Central is not affiliated with this organization, and is offering this space for the paypal button in support of the documentary.
