The place to discuss CPSIA

Please see the new letter from Representative Dingell asking frank questions of the CPSC on exactly how messed up is the CPSIA. He is also calling for a hearing into the matter. This could be seen as some kind of a break through. Keep pounding away out there!

This may be helpful but be mindful of the fact that Dingell is "chairman emeritus", he lost his chairmanship to Waxman who has been reluctant to reopen CPSIA debate.

Wow! That IS a very good letter! And I agree...a start. I will plan to call my OK Congressmen's offices tomorrow and will reference the letter and urge them to work with Rep. Dingell and get this thing back on their radar and get it fixed! I'm also pleased to see that he raised the age issue...I feel that in addition to common sense amendments/exclusions on certain items and materials, that going up to the age of 12 is ridiculous...I think it should be children 5 and under and certain products made for that age group. By the time a child is 6 or 7 or older, they are not putting everything they see and touch into their mouths, like a toddler or preschooler would be inclined to do...Thanks for posting the letter!
